After having my first two babies just 18 months apart, I experienced postpartum depression. The rage, crying spells, and mental breakdowns left me thinking, “I’m not myself, and I don’t know how to fix it.”
While completing my doctoral training in occupational therapy, I learned how to intentionally blend mental health, wellness, and real-life support into the postpartum season. That knowledge changed everything.
I knew that if I had access to this level of support during my second postpartum experience, everything would have been different. With my third baby, it was.
My postpartum experience was a genuinely enjoyable season, rooted in support, partnership, and compassion alongside the hard.
